When Paris met Chelsea (You know the Football Club)

Cou Cou Everyone,
Hey Everyone I figured I should post another one of the bad boys before time gets away from me and I forget about it....(like replying to e-mails sorry :/) So here it goes:

My Valiant Return from London:

So I get back from London (a wonderful trip I might add) and I am staying in a hotel for 2 days! During this time I catch up on some much needed rest while also exploring Paris a bit! I went to St. Michel which is the Latin Quarter for those of you who don't know! Nothing too exciting happened these days but it was wonderful nonetheless to walk around and enjoy!

Vogue Night out:

Alright after the hotel for two days I moved back to Genevieve's and we all went to Vogue Fashion Night out together! I am sorry for lack of pictures but they will be up soon enough because her friend Kate took some! So it was pretty cool to just be walking around and enjoying the atmosphere of haute couture and wishing I could buy it all! We all looked adorable and we walked around and did some people watching and then we went to the bar for some marvelous mojitos! All in all it was a fabulous night of fashion and cocktails (nothing wrong with that right ladies?)

Moving on up and in:

Finally! I am able to move into my new home in Sevres! It is beautiful! I will take some pictures with my new camera tomorrow so that everyone will stop asking! It is a completely redone house and was still being finished the day I moved it! In my "chambre de bonne" I have my own kitchen bathroom bed etc and its beautiful! I got myself all settled in and of course my sinus's decided to attack my face so I just hung out and got my life in order!

Back to School at Negocia:

Monday I started school at Negocia and what a wonderful place it is! Despite the fact that its a bit disorganized at first the people I have met so far are wonderful! as was my first week! I made some wonderful new friends who all think I am crazy in a "why do you have so much fricken energy and why are you so happy about everything" type of way lol! A couple of them are trying to study in the US soon so be looking out! Regardless they all want to speak in English all the time but sometimes make me speak in French and them respond in English...quite funny lol! (Never Works) So we get thru an amazing class (International Negotiation) with an amazing teacher and then International Marketing with a very nice teacher but most of the material is stuff I have already learned! Regardless he took us to a wine store on our first day of class so immediately he is my new fav! Well the tour was cool...looking at bottles of wine that were priced higher than my own bounty...but after 15 mins Clement and I went next door for a bottle of wine and waited for everyone to get done! We then continued on to a place called the "American Dream"...

This is where I am going to stop because this past weekend is a blog post all its own! so we will leave this one as a To be Continued...but just know I am having a wonderful time here! I do not regret my decision to come at all and when I wake up in the morning I am nothing short of over excited for everything to come :)

Bisous!

Adventures in Londonland: You know what I love about Merika?

Bonjour Monde,

I guess it is about that time that I post another entry :) A lot has happened since the last so brace yourself folks for one doozy of a post! Remember this is for me as much as it is for everyone else so if you are sick of hearing about France, I know you miss me and I will not be offended if you don't read it in its entirety :)

The search for Tea and Crumpets in Londonland:
Alright aMerica...London was the first stop in a long list of adventures I will have in the land abroad! What does London have that merits it being my first stop... my best friend Julia Thorne and two wonderful friends whom we have not seen since summer-fest last year (so basically since high school because who really remembers summer-fest). Anyway despite being one of the most expensive places, it was also pretty wonderful! Upon arrival in St. Pancras International Station I quickly found Ebony and Princess near King's Cross Station with the help of about 8 phone calls (P.S. Apparently I lack the magical touch because I could not enter into 9 and 3/4 and into Harry Potter Land LAME I KNOW!) Anyway we learned of proffesional thieves in the area and promptly ducked into a pub to have some pub grub and to make sure the beer was in order! Afterwards we headed to unknowingly surprise Julia because I was a day early...we have issues with our communication some days due to talking slightly intoxicated! Well due to best fraand ESP and some luck with reading maps (thanks Princess) we found each other and got ourselves situated for a night out and a night out is what we got!
Night One in Londonland:
So after making ourselves pretty, what else is there to do but strut our stuff on over to the International Student House Bar (aka ISH Bar) for some cheap thrills and even cheaper drinks. We met up with the group Julia came with and what else would be do but form a circle and start breaking it down Merican style with some Party Rock Anthem etc! After party rockin ourselves to death, we moved on to a couple more pubs...drank some brewskis in the street...then retreated to Center Pointe for some good ol fashion clubbin where we continued on the same path :) When all was said and done...shoes off and hungry we returned home not long before the sun came up...fearing for our lives in the hands of the ridiculous cab drivers that take an hour to hail! Thank you London lovers!
Riots and London Bridges:
The next day we woke up excited to take on the day and promptly retreated to yet another pub called "The Green Man" where Julia and I entertained the bartenders and customers for awhile before Ebony and Princess joined us for some good ol fashion pub grub and brewskis. (Keep in mind it is only Julia and I partaking in afternoon beverages...princess and ebony were the laughing onlookers) Fast forward to our decision to go to the Tower Bridge (I will own and move back into this place again one day peasants) well while on the awesome double decker bus we were irritated by the traffic until we realized HEY there is traffic because there is a line of riot police blocking off the street! How cool is this...plus we have one a bit closer to us who is smiling and posing! Anyway of course I would like to get closer to the action and promptly turn to twitter to find out WHAT THE HELL is going on! Turns out it is a group called the EDL ( Google it people because it is far too much to explain) but because of these demonstrators we had to find a different way to get in on the action. I must add all 3 of my compadres were less than thrilled to be involved in my chase of this story! So we continue on to the Tower Bridge some backward sally way and take all of the classic pictures...(see facebook soon). No surprise here people, we are still tourists and I am not ashamed to admit I think its fricken cool, plus who doesn't enjoy a good ol jumping picture with a bridge in the back round.

SIDENOTE: The London Bridge is lame...I am very upset that there is a song named after it because it sucks and if I had had an empire back in the day, I would have blown it up.

Anyway we had our adventures walked all the hell over the place and of course at the end of the day Princess and Ebony abandon us for their bus stop and leave Julia and I the two blondes (with full proof directions) to get back to her dorm. WE FAILED QUITE MISERABLY...if anyone is surprised or was wondering and after about a 2 hour delay of wandering around la la land we finally found ourselves with wounded feet back at Julia's place only to get ready for the night!

Party Rock Anthem and Creepers:
Alright Julia and I are feeling good, its Princess's birthday and we meet everyone at ISH Bar once again for cheap thrills, party rock anthem, a shot and then on our way to Center Pointe! It was an enjoyable cab ride with new friends Libby and Carolyn (complete with marvelous selfies of course) Well we meet up with the 2 Corey's (Dancing Corey and Tall Corey) and get in the club to tear it up! This is actually no joke...we all went straight in to the dance floor and took over! On top of convincing the DJ to play Teach me how to Dougie and once again Party Rock Anthem, Dancing Corey is actually an amazing dancer and was literally getting in dance war after dance war ( You Got Served anyone?) So we tore it up...fended off the inherent creepers for one another and had one hell of a good time! So leaving the bar around 4 am...what else would anyone be craving but McDonalds?! Let me tell you about McDonalds: It has no tables and they basically have a quarter pounder or chicken selects so picture about 100 drunk people sitting scattered all over the street and on the ground in Mcdonalds...hilarious I tell ya!!

Sunday Funday:
Last but not least after our eventful fun nights out in London Land, on Sunday we decided to go to this awesome little tube stop called Liverpool for lunch and shopping. After eating at Dirty Dick's we continued on to Brick Lane where we encountered some amazing pop up markets with local designers and ridiculous prices. Being the fatties that we are though, the food was the most exciting and we all left quite full and exhausted but with some fabulously cute trinkets as well! This was one of the coolest places I had been in London yet and I would recommend it to anyone! On top of it we made a new friend who was quite the FABULOUS dresser! Afterwards we returned home with every intention of living it up London style...until we realized as fatties we had food hangovers and could not only not finish a beer but wanted nothing to do more than go home and sleep...so thats what we did!!

All in all our adventures in Londonland were marvelous and I am glad I can check it off my list of things to do even though I am sure I will return back before Julia's 3 months is up! This is a long one so to come next is my adventures in Paris when I returned and my new home is Sevres!

Bisous mes amis!
